Meet Your Ayurvedic Doula

I’m Kaleigh Calhoun, a certified postpartum doula, trauma-informed Marma therapist, and Ayurvedic wellness practitioner based in NYC. My work is rooted in the sacred traditions of Bhakti Yoga, Ayurveda and Plant Medicine—modalities that have guided me through my own path of healing and transformation.

Born with hip dysplasia, I underwent multiple reconstructive surgeries and ultimately a hip replacement. Living with chronic pain taught me—on every level—the importance of tending to both body and spirit with deep, consistent nourishment. Through Ayurvedic food, herbal medicine, yoga, and the subtle art of Ayurvedic Bodywork, I found healing that went beyond the physical.

Along the way, I became trauma-informed and came to a core realization: our capacity for nervous system regulation begins in the womb. The way a mother is held, nourished, and supported shapes how a child arrives in the world—and how they learn to feel safe in their body. This is why I am so passionate about postpartum care. I believe that when we care for mamas, we create the foundation for more grounded, connected, and emotionally resilient generations.

“When we care for mamas, they care for the world.”

With certifications in Bhakti Yoga, Ayurvedic postpartum care, Birth Doula Care and Marma Therapy, I offer heart-centered support that honors the sacred threshold of birth and postpartum. My approach is both intuitive and evidence-informed, rooted in ancestral wisdom and modern understanding of trauma and healing.

Whether you're seeking Ayurvedic meal prep, postpartum healing, or nurturing bodywork, I’m here to walk alongside you—with compassion, reverence, and presence.

If you’re ready to feel divinely nourished, I’d be honored to support you.
